At Van Access, a mission returns with a hostile. Michael meets up with a waiting Operations while the rest of the team walks away with the hostile. Operations asks Michael how the mission went. Michael tells him that out of the four hostiles they encountered, they let one live because they found a tracker on him even though that wasn't in the profile. "He may be on a higher tier than we expected." Operations wants to know who the hostile is.
The hostile is led to the Containment and sat down. He's arms are restrained by wrist brackets. Once he's left alone, he manages to dislocate the finger in one of his hands. Madeline walks in and addresses him as "Mr. Tyco". "You were detained during a routine sweep of a Glass Curtain relay site...under normal circumstances you would have been eliminated along with the three others we found there, but we detected the electronic signature of a signal tracker. What were you doing with it?" Madeline asks. Tyco professes ignorance. In response, the gives him the opportunity to do things her way, which will be less painful for him. He asks if they'll kill him if he tells them about the tracker. "Most likely," she answers but she adds that it'll happen quickly and he won't feel anything. While Madeline's back is turned, Tyco resumes with trying to escape his wrist brackets. He manages to break loose and slams Madeline to the wall with a choke hold. She quickly loses consciousness and slips to the floor. Tyco then walks out of the White Room.
Act 1[]
Michael arrives at Comm and Birkoff informs him on Boris Tyco's history. Glass Curtain recruited him the year before while he was working on an oil platform on the Caspian Sea. Walter is also present and he questions how a freshly recruited member gets his hands on a signal tracker, which they found in his possession. "We've only found them on third tier or higher, which is not Boris," Birkoff adds. Michael wants to know where he was before the Caspian Sea and Birkoff tells him the Tyco was not affiliated. Michael wants Birkoff to keep looking.
In a secluded corner of Section, Boris Tyco resets his hand. A female operative passes by to work at a nearby terminal and Tyco surprises her by snapping her neck. He drags her body to an elevator door and uses her handprint to gain access.
Operations approaches Comm and asks Birkoff what Madeline found out about Tyco. Birkoff informs him that she's still in with him. Operations looks in on Containment and sees Madeline's body slumped against the wall. "Go to CNT now!" Operations tells Birkoff and rushes off in the direction of Containment. Birkoff checks the monitor Operations abandoned and proceeds as he ordered. "Close all level access points. We have Grade 2 breach," Birkoff orders. He then tells Antonia, who is working with him in Comm, to kill anything that's not vulnerable and orders Medical to Containment to assist with Madeline.
Nikita is working at station in Systems when a series of beeps can be heard. She asks Michael, who's walking by, what the two pulses mean. He tells her it's a breach with a hostile loose. "What's the contingency?" Nikita asks. "It should be on your panel," he answers and lift it to check. Michael walks out of Systems and Nikita follows.
In a part of Section that houses its electrical, Boris Tyco has gained access to the grid. After making some adjustments, he moves on to another.
Operations continues to run down the corridors of Section until he arrives at Containment. Madeline is conscious and is being tended to by Medical personnel. She's tell everyone that she's fine but Operations wants her taken to Medical. Madeline reminds them that they have to find Tyco.
Tyco has killed two more members of Section and works at rewiring the panels he's accessed.
Antonia is trying to access files but is unable to. "Do you have the lock on the encryption class?" She asks Birkoff. He tells her that he doesn't and wants to know why. "I can't get at it. Someone's synchronized it." That draws Birkoff's attention and he heads to her station. "He's rewired I/O." Birkoff declares. Then it dawns on him. "He's gonna transmit. Reroute the bitstream. Throw a security exception. Do it fast!" He then rushes to an intercom and asks who's in G4.
Approached to the two dead operatives is Michael. He hears Birkoff and informs him that he's on site. Birkoff tells him that Michael that Tyco is up there somewhere. Having seen the dead bodies, Michael tell Birkoff that he knows. Birkoff requests a unit to level 4 but Michael tells him to seal them off. "Are you sure? They can be there in twenty seconds." Michael checks on the panels that Tyco has already tampered with. "Now, before he moves," Michael orders. He turns and sees large door sliding into place.
Tyco is working at another wiring group when a door near him seals shut.
Michael drops down from an upper level and finds more evidence of where Tyco has been. Exposed wires have been pulled out and rearranged. Tyco is still working frantically when Michael quietly approaches him and eliminates him with efficiency. He walks away unperturbed.
Act 2[]
With sirens still blaring Operations stands in the center of Section One in silent contemplation. Michael approaches him. "Is everybody out?" Operations asks. Michael tells him that they are. "Let's go," Operations says. Together, Michael and Operations depart. They walk into Van Access and the elevator closes behind them. "You've been here for how many years, Michael? Seven?" Operations asks. "Nine," Michael answers. "I came here twenty-four years ago," Operations offers. When they arrive at the surface, they exit the elevator. Down below in Section One, multiple detonations destroy the facilities. On a bright and sunny day, Michael and Operations walk along a busy city street. They both veer off in different directions. The camera pans up and the Eiffel Tower of Paris looms nearby.

Michael joins Nikita in a glass of after dinner wine at her apartment. "It's been a strange week," Michael tells her as he takes a sip of wine. Nikita agrees. "I don't know what was more unusual, Operations blowing up the Section or you coming to dinner again," she muses. "I didn't choose to stay away," he tells her. "But you did," Nikita counters. After a few moments Nikita asks Michael about what prompted his visit. He takes a few moments to contemplate her question before answering. "Maybe enough time has passed," he offers. "Maybe too much time has passed, Michael," Nikita tells him. He reaches for the wine carafe and serves Nikita more wine. "I hope not," he answers. "So why are you here now?" Nikita asks. "I missed you," Michael answers honestly. Nikita takes in his answer and they silently watch each other.
