Act 1[]
At the conclusion of the briefing, Madeline lingers to speak with Nikita. "Have you had a chance to study Chernov’s psyche profile?" Madeline asks. Nikita tells her that she just received it. "He’s old school Russian. He prizes strength, and because you’re a woman, he’s likely to test you," she advises. "I’ll look forward to it," Nikita replies confidently. "He won’t challenge you personally. He’ll leave that to his subordinates. The stronger you are with them, the more intrigued he’ll be, but make no move against Chernov himself."
Michael and Nikita walk through a church, the agreed upon site of their undercover meet with Chernov, who meets them with several men. "You are Michael?" Chernov ask. Michael confirms. After brief niceties, he inquires about Nikita. Michael tells him that she is a colleague. "Ah, yes, your beautiful bodyguard. I was told about her. I brought some colleagues as well. Not as a threat, but useful in their way," Chernov tells them as he gestures to the men who accompany him. He directs them to check the good Michael and Nikita brought. Nikita takes issues with their presumptuousness and easily attacks and deflects them while Michael nonchalantly observes. "You can take the goods when we’re ready to give them to you," she tells them. "With your permission…," Chernov requests and Michael nods his head in acceptance. " I believe $200,000 was the amount we agreed on. The account number?" Chernov asks. "2-1-0-4-6-3," Michael answers and after he's sure that the transaction as cleared, he tells Chernov that he looks forward to their next one. "Why wait, Michael? Let’s do it now. I’ll give you an extra half million for your colleague," Chernov suggests just as Michale and Nikita are to depart. "She’s not just a colleague; she’s a friend," Michael explains. "Well. That makes a difference. Make it an even million then." Michael briefly considers the offer and agrees before turning to leave. Nikita is confused by the turn of events. "Michael? What’s happening?" She's immediately stunned by Chernov's men and she falls to the floor while Michael continues to walk away alone.
Act 2[]
Act 3[]
Birkoff mentions to Michael that he had a run in with Felix. Michael tells him not to worry because Felix is in Abeyance. Birkoff adds that that's why Felix is angry. "He threatened to kill me. What do you think I should do?" Birkoff asks, desperate for guidance. "Don't let him," Michael replies matter of fact but also unhelpfully.
Act 4[]
Nikita walks a catwalk around Level Eight. She slides open a panel and a large space with small children working at computer workstations is revealed. Nikita cautiously walks down the staircase down to the lower level. The children are young and supervised but they all worked quietly. "Who are you?" A small, blonde girl asks Nikita. She tells the girl that she's lost. "You're not supposed to be here," the girl tells her. Nikita says that she knows that and asks that the girl not tell anyone. The young girls smiles and heads to an empty chair with the other children. She curiously glances back at Nikita who continues to watch the children in astonishment.
Nikita tells Michael that she's seen photos of herself when she was a little girl and that she's certain that the child she saw was herself. Michael responds that human cloning was far from possible in their present let alone when she was recruited.
