Plot[]
Season Four[]
Katherine "Kate" Quinn is Seymour Birkoff's replacement as head of Comm, and is markedly different from her predecessor.
At some point after she sunk her files and escaped Section, Nikita accosted Quinn in her apartment and subdued her. With the use of non surgical prosthetics, Nikita impersonated Quinn at Section. From her position in Comm, Nikita was able to monitor Section's progress in tracking her. Michael's suspicions about "Quinn's" true identity were proved true and together, with Nikita still disguised as Quinn, they escape Section.
Season Five[]
Nikita is temporarily assigned back to Section One after she expected to be at Center. Upon her return, Operations reminded everyone in Section about Nikita's deception as a mole for Center, including holding Quinn captive. Quinn is noticeably not pleased to have Nikita back. At a mission briefing, Operations defers to Quinn's judgement on a course of action when dealing with an upcoming event between several terrorist organizations. Her suggestion is immediately met with skepticism by Operations, Marco O'Brien, and Nikita, who makes her own recommendation on Section's approach to the event. Embarrassed, Quinn begrudgingly agrees with Nikita's recommendation. Nikita looks bothered that she publicly had to correct Quinn and contribute to her embarrassment. Nikita tries to be supportive of Quinn. "You're new to the job. It takes time," Nikita counsels. "Go to hell," Quinn bites back, full of animosity.
After Quinn apologizes to Operations for failing to meet his expectations at the mission briefing, he tasks her with finding evidence that Nikita falsified her report about Michael's death on his final mission. He wishes to cast doubt on Nikita's assertions and prove that Michael is still alive.
Quinn uses the AI program that Seymour Birkoff created and was ultimately killed by to create a projection of the now deceased Madeline. Operations is pleased with the development and uses the program to provide him counsel, much as the real Madeline did. The experiment, however, ultimately fails and Operations terminates the project. Skeptical of Quinn's motivations but seeing her promise, Operations promotes her to Level Three status.
Skills[]
After the death of Seymour Birkoff, Quinn is tasked with heading Comm at Section One.
Personality[]
Arrogant, sharp-tongued, and distrustful of all men, she nevertheless is unflappable in the face of danger and capable of manipulative of her superiors when necessary. Forced to work alongside newly recruited Jason Crawford, she shares a number of humorous exchanges when she becomes the focus of his romantic interests. However, her sights are set on Operations, and she apparently seeks to replace Madeline as the woman at his side in charge of Section One. She is later revealed to be working for Mr. Jones and Center.
