Mick Schtoppel is a recurring character from the 1997 USA Network series "La Femme Nikita". He is portrayed by English-Italian actor Carlo Rota.
History[]
Mick Schtoppel is an informant for Section One. Schtoppel was originally an associate of Ilya Benko. He assisted Benko in an attempt to intimidate Nikita and Gray Wellman, which Section led them to believe were in possession of Section's confidential Directory of all operatives. Schtoppel was later Greenlisted and used by Section for his contacts among various terrorist organizations.
He is later housed in Nikita's apartment building and becomes her next door neighbor. Section anonymously uses a reluctant Schtoppel to keep Nikita's apartment primed for her continued dependence on the drugs used for the Gelman Process. Schtoppel reveals himself to be Mr. Jones, the head of Center. Alongside Nikita, he evaluates Section One personnel for their efficiency and adherence to Section policy. During the fifth season, it is revealed that he is in fact not the real Mr. Jones. His true identity is that of Martin Henderson, an actor who was recruited by Center to portray Schtoppel and, later, Mr. Jones. Upon this revelation to Nikita, he is never seen again and presumed cancelled.

Character Quotes[]
- Martin: "It was about nine years ago. I was in a rep company near Wales...Shakespeare, some Shaw. Nothing fancy. No money. No money. I used to survive eating peas and stale...crisps. And...and then one day this bloke comes knocking on my door, and he offers me a steady job. It’s every actor’s dream. How could I know that the world would end up being my stage?" -- All the World's A Stage
