La Femme Nikita: The Complete Fifth Season is a DVD collection of the fifth season of La Femme Nikita. It was originally released on October 17, 2006. The set was rereleased in 2010 with slimmer packaging.
Trivia[]
- All season five episodes contain five words.
- Season Five was announced in September 2000[1], four months after the series' cancellation in May 2000.[2] A fan led campaign to bring the series back as well as the poor performance of USA Network's newest shows led to the series being renewed.[3]
- Due to the eight episode order, season five was conceptualized more as a miniseries rather than a traditional season.
- Filming on the fifth season began on September 28, 2000 and continued for two and a half months through December 15, 2000.
- The shortened season was due mainly to the remaining time of the studio space's lease and Peta Wilson's commitment to shooting a television pilot for Warner Bros. Television.
